Our History

On the heels of the Civil War a few men changed the shape of Martinsville - Henry County forever. These gentlemen started furniture companies that have become household names. You recognize names like Bassett, Hooker, Stanley, Gravely, Ridgeway Clock, and American of Martinsville.

Leap to 2000 - 2014 and all of these companies have either greatly reduced their manufacturing presence here or eliminated manufacturing here altogether. Bassett and Hooker, however, continue to operate considerable manufacturing here. Into this void new or younger furniture companies have elected to come to this area, because of the wealth of furniture talent here. Furniture companies like Kimball Lodging, AC Furniture, Shenandoah.

Add CSelect, as of 2002, to that list of furniture manufacturers in the Martinsville - Henry County area. CSelect is largely born out of the demise of a large area commercial furniture company that decided to only import. CSelect set out, in 2002, staffing up it's firm with Martinsville - Henry County furniture talent. Our Corporate offices are here, we have a case goods plant here, our soft seating ships from Martinsville, our exposed wood seating ships out of Toronto CND.

Our commitment is to grow CSelect, and CSelect manufacturing in this area. We are on course to do so by our own hard work, with the hard work of our fabulous suppliers located throughout Virginia and North Carolina, and with support and hard work of our loyal customers. CSelect looks forward to continuing to supply our customers 100% domestically manufactured cases and seating for many years to come.
